I have great news for you if you want to display your projects to the world and share what you've been working on!

You can effortlessly showcase your GitHub projects on LinkedIn by adding them directly, enhancing their visibility with a preview image.

And the best part?

It's super easy and fast!

Just follow these simple steps:

1. Add a social media preview image on GitHub

  • Go to your repository and click on "Settings"

  • Then, navigate to the "Social preview" section and click on "Edit" to upload an image

  • Repeat these steps for all the repositories you want to feature

2. Feature your repository on your LinkedIn profile

  • Go to the "Featured" section of your LinkedIn profile (right below the "About" section)

  • Click on the plus sign to see the different types of items you can feature

  • Click on "Links"

  • Enter the URL to your repository in the "Add a link" pop-up window, and then click "Add"

  • Enter the title and description you want to be displayed for your project, and then click "Save"

💡Note:

Alternatively, LinkedIn now allows adding a preview image, which is cool; for sharing your GitHub project link on other platforms, having a social media preview can make it more attractive.
